I'm becoming increasingly concerned for the state of mind of the McD Marketing team.
Promo after promo they put out bizarre (and usually crap) adverts to market the products that the rest of us make and sell.
Take the American thingy that we are doing at the mo.... WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
When I see these adverts I become instantly irritable and overcome with a desire to burn down the weird octogan in East Finchley.
I hate to think what paying customers think of the ads!
Hi again,
Not wanting to go back over old ground, but after my shift today I am steaming and feeling like a major rant (sorry!!)
On my open today, we're all slaving away, working our butts off to get labour in, sales targets, potential GAPS served asap and a customer brings the whole shift to a stand still.
She is being served by my crew member and chatting away, telling us how she loves her weekly visit as we're all so friendly, then asks how we are going to stay so happy and smiley when we're open till 2am in the morning!!!
Now, the fact that we are moving towards a 24 hour society lends us to belive that this is the natural path that the service sector will be taking. Fine, I do not neccesarily have a problem with this.
However the thing that makes me boil is the fact that none of the upper management had the decency to let us, the unimportant folk who will be working these hours, know about it before the yolkles!
We had heard on the grapevine that the proposal had been put forward to extend the open hours licence, but they have never informed the store itself, and have not let us know that this had been successful.
This customer lives in a house near by and had recieved a letter confirming that the council had granted permission for the extended opening hours and all the details.
I am perfectly sure that we understand the importance of the locals knowing but again it is equally relevant that the staff know, as it is they who will have to work the unsocial hours!
Sorry for the rant, but I'm narked!
