McDonald's love promotional events and marketing (at last count we have been through more products this year than Tesco actually stock) and next month will be no different.
Amongst other things, we will be running a Big Mac BOGOF voucher.
We get sent all promo information via intranet a few weeks in advance so got to read through all the planning notes.
Nothing new and nothing special, until I was reading the small-print on the vouchers,
"Over 16s only."
That'll be fun,
"Big Mac? Got any ID?"

ha, that'll be insurance against nanny state moral policing, (where excuses are reasonable alternative to responsibility for own choices and living own life is not to be contemplated if you can draw more attention to someone elses wrong doing) so they don't get accused of making the nations kids fat then!
if teenagers who look 16 but aren't are going to lie about their age to take advantage of the BOGOF offer and in theory steal the price of that free big mac off MclD then they can exercise to balance it out same as greedy muggins here would have to. so, rather than ID, simply ask them their age, and let them lie, which they will.
or you could make a really big deal out of it and draw to everyones attention the ridiculous culture we live in that means such a condition has to be put on the offer, but I'm not sure it would have the desired effect.
