It's that time of year again and the annual company appraisal, in the form of the anonymous Viewpoint Survey is now out for us to tick a load of boxes and rate the company.
Every salaried manager in company though, is only interested in one question:
I am proud to work for McDonald's Agree / Disagree / Neither Agree nor Disagree.
Reason why? Simple, part of our bonus depends on how our team answer.
But deep in our hearts we feel both empathy for the crew who answer disagree, and stitched up by the accountants that included that question!
One of my Shift Managers put it this way,
"If I was in the army I would be proud to serve my country; if I was in the police force I would be proud to serve my city. Am I proud to serve a bunch of ignorant scrotes with fast food?"
Man has a point.
