Not that it's bad enough that I'm having to do paperwork on my day off because we don't have enough staff at the moment (everyone's gone back to college and decided not to tell us that they don't need shifts, the darlings) but my partner's been giving me grief about the piss poor vegetarian selection on offer.

Now she already knew that the fries and milkshakes are veggie friendly (although many don't seem to think that they are!) and in my defence I said that there is a Veggie Melt Deli Sandwich.

"What's in that?" came the immediate response.

"Bread roll, mixed roast veg, swiss cheese, lettuce and salsa mayo."

"What's the veg?"

"Red and yellow peppers, courgette and onion."

"Are you taking the piss?"

Then I realised just how bad it actually sounds. Who in their right mind would market a courgette pepper and onion sandwich and hope not to get ridiculed?

What exactly where the development team thinking when they came up with this concoction?

Has the sandwich proved to be a success?

Yes, it's successfully stopped my partner from visiting McDonald's in favour of a food retailer that would like to take her seriously.
